Ferraro Kinder Egg is made of delicious quality milk and white European chocolate and contain an a special collector toy which can be assembled or displayed. The toy within the egg is contained in an oval-shaped plastic capsule. -------------------------
The Kinder Egg product contains small parts within each plastic capsule enclosed by chocolate candy. The product is banned under 16 C.F.R. § 1500.18(a)(9). See the definition of a small part at 16 C.F.R. § 1501.4. that is found on our Web site http://
www.cpsc.gov. The toyparts that are located in the chocolate eggs are small parts as they fit into the small parts cylinderdescribed in this regulation, 16 C.F.R. Part 1501. Each of the chocolate eggs contains a toywithin the egg and is age graded by the Commission staff for children under 3 years of age.Kinder Eggs are banned under 16 C.F.R. § 1500.18(a)(9) because of the presence of the smallparts that present choking, aspiration, and ingestion hazards to young children.
